My name is Jay Nye and I have been a resident of Richfield, Ohio for most of my life. I am one of eight children and my dad owned Dale’s Color TV in Bath, Ohio. I graduated from Revere High School in 1987 and had a successful wrestling career, winning an opportunity to wrestle in the State Wrestling Tournament in 1987. I used my talent in wrestling to coach at Revere Middle School and oversaw the Youth Wrestling Program for several years after graduating high school.
I am married to Chantelle (Sallaz) and we have two sons who also graduated from Revere. Our oldest son Jake is a US Marine and our youngest son Max is a graduate of The University of Toledo in Bio Engineering. Jake and I now own a local business called Nye Guys Construction & Handyman Service.
I never knew I could carry a tune until I was 33 yrs old. We were part of a new church plant in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio called Falls Berean Bible Church and on Easter the men decided to sing a special for Easter Sunday. It is through this event, I found I could sing. I have been singing ever since. I now sing in church, at Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory care, restaurants (Lannings, Whitey’s), Szalay’s Farm, special events, weddings, funerals and in my neighborhood. I have also sung the National Anthem at many high school events around the Cleveland and Akron areas and at Ducks games. My wife and I frequently go to restaurants with Karaoke for food and fun!
My goal for singing is just to bring good entertainment to the crowd and hopefully bring a smile to their faces. One of my favorite places to sing are Memory care units because the older folks, who cannot remember anything, light up, smile and they SING!!!

Jay's performance at Vitalia of Stow is Amazing! He is so friendly, mingles with the residents and gets them involved. When entertainers come to our place they do exactly 1 hour but Jay always keeps playing till I have to say it's time. My residents always comment when he ends he is the favorite!

Jay sang at the beginning of my daughter’s wedding reception, while pictures were being taken of the couple and appetizers were being served to the guest.
Jay has an amazing voice and personality; he also sang a wide variety of music. Jay kept the guest engaged while they waited for the Bride and Groom to return. He also took song request from the guest. The guest was disappointed when he finished singing and the DJ started to play music, they would have rather have Jay sing the entire time.
